- 450g ground beef
- 1 cup celery, chopped
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 Tbsp coconut aminos
- 2 cans diced tomatoes
- 2 carrots, peeled and grated
- 1 cup beef broth
- 2 Tbsp tomato paste
- 1 Tbsp fresh parsley, finely chopped
- 1 Tbsp fresh oregano, finely chopped
- Pinch of salt and pepper (to taste)
METHOD
- Heat the olive oil in a large pot on medium to high heat, add in the celery ground beef, garlic and coconut aminos, sauté together until the beef is browned.
- Add in the rest of the ingredients, reduce the heat and continue to stir. Be sure to season by adding in
a pinch of salt and pepper to taste. - Cover with a lid and allow to simmer on low for 25-30 minutes. Stir occasionally to ensure you don’t
lose too much moisture through steam. For a thicker sauce, you can leave the pot uncovered towards the second half of cooking but be sure to stir more often to prevent sticking. - Serve on top of ceres gluten free pasta or zucchini noodles. Top with extra herbs and accompany with a refreshing side salad
