This Miso Tahini Dressing is irresistibly creamy, tangy and easy to make and you only need 5 ingredients! The
shiro (white) miso delivers a gentle sweet and salty flavour, and provides many nutritious benefits. Miso is a fermented food, which provides healthy probiotics to maintain and boost your gut health. The tahini is also a superstar, delivering selenium and acting as an antioxidant that can help lower inflammation. Not only does this dressing taste great on any nourishing salad or meal, but it’s great for your body too!

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup organic hulled tahini (sesame)
  • ½ cup rice vinegar
  • ¼ cup Shiro (white) miso paste (note contains organic soy)
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 Tbsp maple syrup (for a sweeter taste, add ¼ Tbsp more)
  • ½ cup water
  • Optional garnish: sesame seeds

Methods:

  1. Add the tahini, rice vinegar, miso paste, minced ginger and maple syrup to a large mixing bowl and mix using a whisk until a thick, even paste is formed.
  2. Slowly pour in the water, whilst continuing to whisk the mixture until it evenly corporates. (You may need to add extra water to taste, or if using a thicker tahini).
  3. Serve as desired. (Optional: garnish on top with sesame seeds.) Leftovers of this dressing will keep chilled in the fridge for up to 2 weeks
