Low Histamine Mango Vanilla Smoothie

Makes approximately: 3-4 medium smoothies or 2 large smoothies (have one at morning and afternoon tea daily).

Looking for a delicious, tropical low histamine smoothie? Look no further! This Low Histamine Mango Vanilla Smoothie is refreshing, highly nutritious and easy to make. Mango is a great low histamine fruit that packs a sweet, tropical punch and powerful source of vitamin C. Feel free to adapt this smoothie to your liking, swapping out for any preferred low histamine fruit in equal amounts

Ingredients

  • 1-2 cups frozen mango
  • 1 can coconut milk
  • 1-2 Tbsp chia seeds
  • 1-2 Tbsp hemp seeds
  • 1-2 heaped Tbsp macadamia or almond nut butter (leave out for nut free option)
  • Optional: 2 sprigs of fresh mint and 1 large handful kale (makes the smoothie green, adds nutrients)

Method:

  1. Combine all of the ingredients into a high-speed blender, and fill to the top of the blender with water (approximately 750mls).
  2. Blend together until smooth and serve in tall glasses or mason jars. (Optional: garnish with fresh mint leaves or coconut shreds.) Makes 3-4 medium smoothies or 2 large smoothies (have one at morning and afternoon tea daily).
